About the Learning Centres

What we do

Scottish Rite Learning Centres give children aged 6–14 with dyslexia free, one-on-one tutoring using the Orton-Gillingham approach — always at no cost to families. There are Centres across Canada, all run on the same proven model and funded by donations.

How a child’s journey works

  • A family enrols their child with a local Centre.
  • The child is matched one-on-one with a trained volunteer tutor.
  • Twice-weekly sessions build reading, spelling and confidence.
  • Progress is steady, measurable, and life-changing.

The Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation

Behind every Centre

The Learning Centres are a program of the Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation of Canada — a registered charity that funds research and programs to solve the puzzles of the mind. Watch the short film to learn more.
